I’ve worked in the magazine publishing business for a number of years, but it still gives me a little thrill to see my name in print. There’s just something neat about being able to say, “See? I did that!”
Four fabric gift bags I designed were chosen to grace the cover of Sewing Savvy‘s November 2008 issue. The Truly Tote-able Gift Bags are in different shapes and sizes to accommodate a variety of gifts. You can get a sneak peek and download pdf patterns for bag bottoms at the Sewing Savvy website, while the November issue is online.
A simple sweatshirt redo I designed appears in the same issue. I used hand pieced bow-tie blocks that were leftover from one of my Mom’s quilts to add some sweetness to a soft sweatshirt. It’s perfect for cuddling up in on a slightly cool fall day.
